Alison created BEST in 2014 as an outlet for her creative network to experiment with new ideas. Now a fully functioning studio, BEST prides itself in meaningful, original work, creative services, partnerships. Before running BEST full-time, she was a Creative Director at Condé Nast (where she met Mia), preceded by a long background in marketing, publishing and graphic design for clients like Kate Spade, Belstaff and HUE. First an artist, she writes an e-column called Deer Hudson and dabbles in illustration. Mia partners with Alison on almost all of BEST's projects. With a background at magazines like Bon App, W, V and DETAILS—and a little NYFW for good measure—she brings a fresh eye and simple elegance to web design and branding. Bouncing between the East and West Coasts, she draws on bright shapes and color schemes.
Tracy Martin works with BEST on business development, sponsorships, event management, marketing and branding efforts. With an MBA in entrepreneurship and management, she enjoys collaborating with businesses to creatively tell their story through curated experiences. Tracy brings previous manager experience from earlier roles in private events and hospital operations. Iowa-bred and co-owner of Otto's Market, she strives to bring sustainable awareness to all of her projects, as well as a deeper connection to the community.
Sidney Bensimon is a food and lifestyle photographer with a passion for conscious living. She shoots for clients like Barneys New York and Van Leeuwen, and Bon Appetit. You might find her as your chef on a Sailing Collective trip, swimming next to you in Maine, or shooting your favorite next cookbook. She's French, fast, nimble and a wiz with that golden light.
